I wondered if there is any plan to add a feature to combat spam on forms that are sent by a human ?
There has been a lot of spam recently to our contact form and as yet those IP's have yet to be added to your spammers list. I was wondering if there might be a way to have users server side coding to process the form and if it suspects it is spam after say 10 duplicate/similar messages sent that it then auto send this info to honeypot to store as possible threat and await further reports of the same information from many others say 20 which means that theres over 200 reports. Then this be automatically added to the spammers list on your site. As it stands now the only comment spam collection is done via the dummy forms that we add. This would allow the spam to be stopped quicker. Of course there would have to be some database on our end to store the information to decide if it might/is spam. But I am willing to work a suitable system to cater for this. Yes... there is a chance that some may try to reck this and cause havox by sending multiple IP's that are not actually sending out spam. But having a system that waits for many reports from many different sites before deciding on if it is real or not.
What are peoples thoughts on this ?
