i've been a member of this project for several years & have been noticing a disturbing trend: the number of hits i'm getting for my honeypot is now the highest for my site. so far this month, 293 hits have been for the honeypot. the root of my domain got 368 hits. compare this to jan 2008 where the root got 362 hits & my honeypot didn't make the top 25.
why am i seeing such a dramatic number of honeypot hits? are the number of spambots going up? or am i just popular with spammers?
