php script doesn't work

The php script doesn't work; first of all it relies on short_open_tag which is very bad style. Adapting the script doesn't work (obviously) but even after allowing short_open_tag for the relevant directory I only got 'validation error's.

Good news: the perl script works out of the box.

Yes, at the moment we use the open tags. If you have that turned off you can try the perl version.

Future versions of the PHP honey pot script will be more friendly.
