Installing Honey Pots

Hey people!

Just wondering .. when adding the script to your pages .. is it better to have it toward the top of the page ?

Right now I put some links inside the footer thats on all the site pages .. but its way way at the bottom ..

Anyone got a idea ??

It makes no difference. A spambot doesn't care where in the page it finds the link. Remember, it's not humans that find the links, it's spam robots.

HP Install on Drupal Ubuntu Server

My drupal website is installed on the /home/hppluser/drupal, my honeypot is installed on /usr/lib/cgi-bin. I chmod'd the script to 644. When I visit the script at http://hppltest.org/cgi-bin/pan.cgi , I get a page not found error. Is this drupal getting in the way?
I did have to change the pan.cgi, as we dont have a www.hppltest.org A record, yet, just httptest.org.
Amy ideas?

Yes it took me a while to figure it out too. You want the honey pot executable, so you should chmod the file to 755 as in -rwxr-xr-x
