Installing Honey Pots

Trying to activate the script - HTTP ERROR 500

Hi there,

I put the PHP 7+ script on my website but when I browse to that page, I get the folllowing error:
"This page isn’t working

[WEBSITE URL] is currently unable to handle this request.

HTTP ERROR 500"

- PHP 7.2.34 is running on the server
- chmod 644 permissions set on the file

Any ideas?

Try chmod 755.

It's hard to say because I'm looking at posts from 10 years ago and that's not a problem I personally had.

chmod 755 was the same issue.

I believe the issue was because "allow_url_fopen" is disabled.

I switched to a PHP 5 script instead of 7 and was able to configure the honeypot successfully as "allow_url_fopen" is not required.

Weird. Hopefully that works out!
