Long ago, we tried several times to write using the "Contact Us" and never got a reply. Here's the same message, in hopes we find help:
We've been a part of wonderful Honeypot project for many years now. But since we've tried the new script, seems the honeypot isn't properly configured. The issue is that you've added all this verification inside the script and it fails because:
1/ We have two domains where this can be launched and they're trying to serve the exact same file. We use the second domain for our Chinese clients so all links in /zt/ and /zh/ will go there but the source code is the same. Trying to make special rules for the PHP script doesn't make sense.
2/ We want a few lines of our own code before launching your own and it's even more important to us. That code notes the IP which made the request to block it from our servers. In the past (until today actually), we've had that code as a few lines on top of your code but now it's causing a "not properly configured" message.
So how can we quickly remedy the situation? Can we continue with this 'wrongly configured' honeypot? We want to help the project but it's more important for us that we defend ourselves quickly against lame bots that are trying to scan us.
