 Rippers browser?
Author: D.Suffern   (10 Aug 11 7:58am)
Hi! Completely new and definitely not the most computer literate, so go easy on me! I have a personal ip/visitors tracker on my site, as well as statcounter. On stat counter, I have a friend (we're currently not speaking) who has looked at my blog at work, but their ip shows up multiple times in one second. Not only that, one browser says "Rippers" in the same second as another hit under his ip from Chrome. I'm concerned. Other visits do not show the "Rippers" browser. Additionally, on my personal site tracker, there is no mention of Rippers, but shows multiple hits to multiple pages, same ip, within one second. I don't know if there is something going on at the company they work at or what. Anyone know anything about this system? I have seen only three options: it's a site ripping software for offline browsing, that it's something companies use to track their employees, or that it's something employees use to bypass work filters. Any thoughts?

I'm reliably informed it's a tagged IE used by military and corporate establishments for tracking users and the internet usage. You can always block the agent if this bothers you in any way.
