get rid of bots

How do I actually get rid of the bots that have infected my computer. We hard changed the IP setting and now it is back. The first trouble IP was 74.198.15.17, now it is 74.198.15.16
Just not sure of what info I need to post to help stop this problem.

Sounds like you need an anti-virus else your computer is just a zombie for botnets. Don't purchase malware "anti-virus" applications because it actually is a virus. For more information, search anti-virus on Wikipedia for more information or get the free version of Avast if you don't want to spend money on an anti-virus. Just search Google for Avast.

Beware there are many viruses that are masquerading as an anti-virus e.g. Microsoft Antivirus is a virus and is not distributed by Microsoft.
