Complete Obfuscation does not validate

I used the Obfuscator for an email address and the W3C validator responded "document type does not allow element "a" here"

Is there a way to correct this so it validates?

I know this is a stale topic, but you likely need to stick that link within a block level element....

wrap it in a div, then give the div a style of display:none.
