Stopping spam using my email

What is the best way to make sure no spammers are using my email address to send out spam? What is the best simple monitoring program (or is there even such a thing) to tell me if my computer is sending out mass amounts of emails without me knowing it?

Any ideas? I hope to get a job soon and will be able to pay for something even hopefully soon. I want to stop spam!

nobody should have access to your email account.

to know if somebody is using your computer to send spam you can use the ip monitor

To decrease the chance that spammers will use your email address to send out spam, look at SPF.

To monitor what is going on on your machines, why not use Project Honey Pot's monitoring?
