So a QuickLink is a HoneyTrail to a HoneyPot?
Author: A.E4   (31 Mar 09 3:48am)
So I was just trying to understand what a QuickLink is and was discussing it with my fiance. From my understand, and I want to make sure I am right, is a QuickLink really a "HoneyTrail" to a HoneyPot?

Yes, that's a good way of thinking about it. QuickLinks are our solution for users of services where they can edit HTML but cannot install a honey pot. Other users who have installed honey pots have been generous enough to allow them to be shared. The QuickLink points harvesters and bad bots to the shared honey pot with a string in the URL that identifies the QuickLinker. This helps us expand the number of entry points to honey pots and therefore the number of harvesters and other malicious robots the honey pots are exposed to.

How can I make this "trail" (QuickLink) sweeter then? Because none have followed the trail even though I get loads of spam a day. I got 7 in only 2 1/2 hrs and none to the QuickLink :(
