 Setup and hosting through ISP
Author: S.Hulse   (3 Jan 05 11:55pm)
I am currently running my site (severley under development!) through my ISP Bresnan.net . I tried to enter the URL in http://s.hulse.home.bresnan.net/ but I recieved the error that it was an invalid address? Can I not use this address and do I need to wait until I get my domain up and running?

Thanks!

Tweaked the regex. Should work now -- welcome to the Project!

Nope. I tried entering in the URL again, (both http://s.hulse.home.bresnan.net/ and s.hulse.home.bresnan.net/) and it still told me the URL was

> The the value you entered for the Website is not formated correctly or is not Fully-Qualified Domain.

Bresnan is an offshoot of Comcast, I am wondering if this is the issue with the way the ISP handles the URL?

Any thoughts?

The verifier got confused by the 's.' in your domain, it was attempting to lookup/verify hulse.home.bresnan.net when it should have been looking at home.bresnan.net.

Anyhow, the verifier is less picky now so you should be able to register without a problem.

Another thing that you could try would be to reigster your pot under the domain home.bresnan.net and referencing script using this url:

http://home.bresnan.net/~s.hulse/
