Comment Spam IP reporting?

How do we report comment spam? I get about a dozen of attempts to submit crap on my website, I have automated a system to record these IPs. Is there any API I can submit these to?

i'd be interested in the reply to this too.

i've got an extremely small and insignificant site (it's only really there for personal use for the affiliate links and i get very few genuine visitors) but have somehow come to the attention of comment spammers who have decided to make a sustained attack on the comments part of the site with numerous attempts from various IPs each and every day for the last week.

it's easily dealt with and simply denying their IPs and deleting the comments is easy enough (since i have few genuine ones - i kind of sticks out when i suddenly get 40!) but is there anything i can do to submit the IPs?
