Author: C.Hodgdon2   (25 Apr 07 8:11pm)
I am the webmaster of several non-profit websites, can I use one PHPot account to includes honey pots on all of the sites, or do I need to setup more than one account for each?

Yes, we encourage you to have one account regardless of the number of websites you run.

A few options:

1. You can create one honey pot and link to it from all your sites.

Advantage: it's quick and easy.
Disadvantage: You can't track how the different sites are targeted individually by spammers.

2. You can create a different honey pot for each site.

Advantage: It takes a bit more time.
Disadvantage: You can track both each site individually, as well as the total stats for all your sites.

Welcome to the Project! Thanks for your help!!

I am a web developer and have a long list of client's sites that I maintain. I read in the above post re that we can "create a different honey pot for each site". I think that I remember seeing when I registered that my email address can only be used once for an account..... so I am a bit confussed here. If I create a honey pot for each of my client's sites am I able to use my email address for them all?

This is probably a silly question which will answer itself when I follow through with setting this up on my own site. But while I am still a newbie... I will ask anyway.

Each account can manage multiple honey pots. So, for example, let's say you have an account for:

M.Elliott2

And you manage the following domains:

example1.com
example2.com
example3.com

Your one account may install and manage a separate honey pot on each of those domains. Or you can install one honey pot and link to it from all three domains.
