 is this a honeypot, too?

Hi,
I used Xenu linkchecker on www.modernes-japan.de and found some 30000+ emailaddresses:
http://www.phil-fak.uni-duesseldorf.de/fachschaften/fsjapan/customers.php?penetrated=7056
is that a honeypot, too? Couldn´t find the tool on the net though.

Just a poisoner rather than a honeypot. Their claims that it helps combat junk e-mail is rather overstated, as all it does is add a small percentage of fake e-mail addresses to the spammers mailing list causing more bounces. Most spammers never get to see the bounces as the use fake return addresses so the e-mails end up being bit bucketed somewhere (where depends on whether the domain part of either the To or Sender is valid). So rather than combating junk e-mail, all it does is slightly slow down how many valid addresses they send spam to. It doesn't slow them down significantly enough for spammers to worry about.
