explain how honey pot catches spambots
Author: J.Brynn   (27 Feb 25 11:03am)
Hello,
I'm a newbie at this, and struggling to understand. Your website says that the lines of html that we put on our pages are not seen by humans, but the spambots find them.

I can understand how they are not seen by humans, because the lines of html do not actually display anything. The html by itself (without the link to our honey pot page) is fairly useless html.

But I don't understand how the spambots find it. Partly I don't understand, because I don't understand exactly what a spambot is. Can you explain in a simple way how the spambots find the html, if humans don't see it?

Thanks,
brynn
