Hey,
I'm working on a light-weight ruby implementation that's Rack-compatible, which makes it also Rails 2.3+ compatible. Releases are available as gems, (gem install httpbl), and the code is hosted on github at http://github.com/bpalmen/httpbl/tree/master
The project home page is http://httpbl.rubyforge.org, and lastly, there's an issue tracker at http://sqware.lighthouseapp.com/projects/27856-httpbl/
Please let me know of any problems you see with the code, and of any features or improvements that I could add!
