I've noticed it days ago, and reported it to admins earlier in the week:
ns1.httpbl.org is out of sync and not updating, and thus failing 1 out of 3 DNS queries into HTTPBL.
$ dig +short @ns1.httpbl.org key.216.192.184.203.dnsbl.httpbl.org any
$ dig +short @ns2.httpbl.org key.216.192.184.203.dnsbl.httpbl.org any
127.1.37.5
"See: http://www.projecthoneypot.org/ipr_216.192.184.203"
$ dig +short @ns3.httpbl.org key.216.192.184.203.dnsbl.httpbl.org any
127.1.37.5
"See: http://www.projecthoneypot.org/ipr_216.192.184.203"
E.g.: no response for that query from ns1 (NXDOMAIN)
When querying for SOA:
ns1:
dnsbl.httpbl.org. 3600 IN SOA dnsbl.httpbl.org. dnsadmin.projecthoneypot.org. 1236234002 7200 7200 604800 3600
ns2:
dnsbl.httpbl.org. 3600 IN SOA dnsbl.httpbl.org. dnsadmin.projecthoneypot.org. 1240506602 7200 7200 604800 3600
ns3:
dnsbl.httpbl.org. 3600 IN SOA dnsbl.httpbl.org. dnsadmin.projecthoneypot.org. 1240534810 7200 7200 604800 3600
Actually, ALL 3 zone serial numbers are different - but ns1 is particularly far off.
Is noone using the BL, or noticing the effects of the above?
