Hmmm... I'm not sure what's going on. I tried going to:
http://skakagrall.com/cgi-bin/MT/privilege.cgi
I get an error that the file wasn't found. Tried some other combinations:
http://skakagrall.com/cgi-bin/privilege.cgi
http://skakagrall.com/MT/privilege.cgi
None of them worked.
http://www.skakagrall.com/cgi-bin/MT/mt.cgi
To test if this was where your Movable Type installation was housed. I get an authorization error when I go there.... which may mean you've got MT locked down in such a way that only certain IPs can access it (?) or maybe there's something wrong with the MT installation. In either case, neither of those should have any bearing on why the honey pot page doesn't come up , assuming you've put the privilege.cgi script in the same place as your mt.cgi script.
The privilege.cgi script runs completely apart from Movable Type. It is what actually generates the honey pot page and hands out the addresses. It should work even if all else fails.
On the other hand, the Project Honey Pot MT Plugin helps you automatically add links from your blog to your honey pot script. If something is strange in your MT configuration then it may be keeping the mt-projecthoneypot.cgi script from running. However, again, when I go here:
http://skakagrall.com/cgi-bin/MT/mt-projecthoneypot.cgi
I get a "File Not Found" error.
A couple things you may want to try. First, since your web server supports Perl and PHP you might want to try downloading one of the non-MT versions of the honey pot script. About 70% of Project Honey Pot users are using the PHP version and it seems to be the easiest to install. If you've got PHP up and running on your server, you may want to try that version. Alternatively, the Perl stand-alone has proven robust as well. Either of these more bare-bones scripts may be a bit more forgiving in terms of installing them -- requring fewer files (1 instead of 6) to be placed in fewer places in order for the script to function properly.
The MT version is actually just the Perl version of the script with a GUI wrapper to help you install links through the MT interface. After you're up and running, you're not losing any functionality by going with the bare-bones Perl or PHP versions.
Post here with more questions and we'll do what we can to figure out what's going wrong. Sorry for the trouble, and we look forward to your help with the Project!
