Adding Disallow: honeypot/quicklink
Author: D.H.B (21 Nov 12 12:05pm)
Hi,
I'm sort of a newbie....

What is the right way:

Disallow: /honeypot/quicklink

or

Disallow: /honeypot/quicklink /

Thank you for your help & time.

Assume you are talking about your robots.txt file

I would not add any reference to your installed honeypot. For sure not any quicklinks.

A well behaved indexer like Google will not find or follow the link to a honey pot. If you feel the need and have installed your honeypot in a directory with other utilities then disallow the whole directory.

Thanks for the answer.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes, I'm talking about the robots.txt file.

BTW, I didn't install honeypot (since I faced several issues, and I could not find clear instructions). I have QuickLink.

So no problem with my PR?

No problems. I have honeypots on all domains I control. There are links to them and QuickLinks scattered throughout the pages and two forums. All are well ranked and indexed.
