Multiple sites using a single honey pot

As a webmaster I have access to many sites source code. Is there any downside to linking multiple sites to one honeypot script? I understand that all of the stats would be generic, however that would make it a little easier to compile all of the IP's that I want to block for a comprehensive solution correct?
