Cause Spammers to Report Themselves to FTC
Author: J.Yard2   (21 Apr 07 3:14pm)
Create a 'Catch All' that forwards to 'spam@uce.gov' all email sent to your domain that does not match an existing address.

Then splatter a buch of bogus hidden email addresses such as 'johnboy'@domain.tld' throughout your site.

So when a spammer send email to one of these addresses they are actually reporting themselves to the FTC.

We share our data with any law enforcement agencies that ask. Unfortunately, while the FTC collects a bunch of the data, and it's valuable to forward known spam to them, there need to be additional research tools in order to make that data valuable. We're trying to build those for the FTC and any other public or private law enforcement agencies who are interested.
