I'm using CF:
<cfhttp method="GET" url="http://.#PI#.dnsbl.httpbl.org">

Which with PI set to 127.1.1.7 or 99.68.142.79 (a frequent bad user) returns "Connection Failure"

This makes the scheme pretty much useless.
