 comcast ..IPv6

comast has recently went to dymanic IP addys
would this be necessarily IPv6?
getting straight answer for comcast is impossible
bottom line, how do i monitor my IP if it is dynamic ?

From what you describe, It doesn't have to be IPv6 -- in fact, I can't imagine that Comcast would go to IPv6 at this point since a number of the OSs their customers are running won't support it.

If you want to monitor your IP space you'll have to login to our site and update what you're monitoring every time your IP switches.

Good news is that if you keep your modem or router turned on most of the time then you'll likely continue to have the same IP address most of the time.

The whole point of IPv6 is not to need dynamic IP addressing. So, it is IPv4.

If you want to keep your IP for as long as possible (and use Windows), get my program KeepMyIP from http://keepmyip.redprince.net and install it.
