How come your site doesn't list...

How come your site doesn't list the IPs of the harvesters it says hit my site? That would be very helpful in banning them in the future.

I mean, once you've got your info, we allow these harvesters to continue to hit a site?

Not sure I understand your question. If you visit:

http://www.projecthoneypot.org/top_harvesters.php

That will show you the top list of harvesters hitting any honey pots. Assuming you are logged in to your account, you can use the drop-down menu on the left to show just those harvesters that have hit your own honey pots.

There may be some delay between when the harvesters are discovered and when they show up on the list because of the way that we cache the web pages in order to deal with our server load. But check back in a bit and the IP should be there.

Keep a watch on us in about 10 days from now for an announcement that will make keeping known harvesters (and other malicious web robots) off your site a lot easier. Very exciting.
