HELP

I am totally new to this....I am just an individual with a home computer.

I downloaded the Honey Pot for a specific e-mail that I keep getting horrible spam at.

I am now stuck, because I cannot figure out what to do next. I read the readme file, but, alas, I guess it's over my head.

Am I able to use this on a home pc and can someone explain how to make it work?

You can only install a full honey pot if you have your own web server. Doesn't sound like that applies to you.

You can still help track spammers and harvesters if there is any website you post to. For example, if you have a blog through a service like Blogger, Typepad, or LiveJournal then you can include a QuickLink.

If you don't run a web server, and you don't post to a blog or other website, then there's not much you can do to help with the Project at this time. Do rest assured, however, that we're gathering evidence and bringing lawsuits in order to help all email users... including you.

As you said, sounds like not much I can do, but I applaud you all for your efforts!!!!! It's about time someone fought back to make accountable those persons responsible for spamming!!
