 Honey pot language
Author: R.Fernandez2   (8 Mar 07 5:48am)
Hello.

I guess my question is quite trivial, but I really would like to have an answer, and I didn't find it in the FAQ, so here I am.

I live in Spain, my whole web page is in Spanish and... the honey pot is en English, and refers to (I guess) Utah laws. I'm not sure if it should be written in Spanish, and referred to Spanish law.

I also don't know if the statement in the legal text that applies to all the web site or only to the honey pot page. Am I forcing anyone visiting any of my pages to Utah's law? Is anyone visiting my web site required to know English?

Have a nice day.

Rubén.

The legal text would, ideally, be written in various languages. However, the legal text is only a minor part of how the honey pots work. Increasingly, we're going to actually be turning off the legal text when we have evidence that a harvester is a harvester.

Eventualyl I hope that we can get the legal text translated into multiple languages and multiple legal systems. But, until then, it's probably ok to keep it as it is. Members from over 100 countries are currently participating so maybe we'll establish a precedent simply through broad use.

Matthew.
