Blacklisted IP address

An IP address of ours was detected as sending out SPAM email messages (approximately 25) around 4 weeks ago.

We have identified the machine in question and discovered that it was infected with malware which was sending out SMTP traffic.

One of the companies we connect to use the Project Honeypot service and whenever we try to connect we receive a message informing us that we have been blacklisted.

My question is what steps can we take to remove the IP address so that we are no longer blacklisted by Project Honeypot.

IP addresses have their threat scores decline over time as malicious activity from them is reduced. If there is no malicious activity from your IP address for a continuous period of time then it will automatically be deleted from the http:BL.

In the meantime, I would contact the company whose website you are asking to reach and have them add you to their individual http:BL white list.

A related question: how long does it take for an IP to drop out of the blacklist after all suspicious activity has stopped?

There has been no irregular activities reported on my IP for 3 1/2 months, but I'm still blacklisted.

When can I expect it to be removed from the list?

That does NOT seem to work: I have been tracking the threat score of our blacklisted IP for over a month now, and it has not changed at all:

query on 12/5: 127.19.32.5 (last seen 19 days ago, threat score 32)
query on 12/20: 127.43.32.5 (last seen 43 days ago, threat score 32)

Is the algorithm working as expected?

This is a general question, I just got on this site. I am receiving e-mails (and sending them too) to an IP address I just Googled, to find out more about it, and when I did I got this Honeypot site. the woman who is sending me the e-mails is in Ukraine, should I now assume she's a scammer?

If you visit the listing page for your IP from the same /24, you will find a link on the left to request white listing.

A user's mail password was compromised, this problem detected and repaired.
Please remove our IP address from the list.

Hi,

in the page ip adress inspector, i have this for my IP :

Dictionary Attacks 14 email(s) sent from this IP
First Received From 2017-04-17
Last Received From 2017-11-10

I performed a complete scan of my system BEFORE the "last receive from" date, using AVG antivirus and Malwarebytes with no positive occurence. So, what can i do to clean my machine if i am sending spams without my knowing ?

Now, i try to access some websites, and i have been three times today stuck in a CAPCHA loop, the link requested reloading in loop the CAPCHA page indefinitely. But the strange thing is that this behavior only appears in Firefox (still v.56). I tried the same pages in Yandex, and after one CAPCHA verification, i could access the page. So, this CAPCHA loop seems to be a Firefox issue. Have u any information on the matter ?

I left all those Win/Mac privacy and security woes behind when I switched to Linux. A good starting point for beginners is Linux Mint Xfce or Fedora Linux (GNOME3 or Xfce) for a faster updated OS/Software. I like both distros ;)

Dear JustSpam, We are an Internet service provider ISP, where we have some e-mails, used by customers, which can in turn can get viruses causing this problem has already been solved, so I would remove our ip 200.194.232.34 to your block list. We are available throughout.
