Sharing Honeypot and site stats

If I share my honeypot, will this effect my site's visitor statistics? If so, is there a way to avoid this?

Yes sharing you honeypot will (we hope) increase visits to you honeypot.

You should be able to identify those visits to the honeypot file and exclude them from the overall totals. Most traffic analysis packages allow you to identify which pages of your domain are visited. Your honeypot is just another file that visitors request.
