This ip address came to our site as well. My suspicion is that it is also being used for anonymous websurfing as well because it followed a very specific pattern through my site characteristic of other attempts in the past. It may not only be spammers. I had a hit from a similar site in Romania days before and similar pattern.

Checking Domain Tools, this IP is from a large block in Belize, apparently not a specific company or search engine.
Checking logs, I have had a number of visits the past week. The pattern of access looks too random and too fast to be a real person browsing. Each time, this bot fails to comply with robots.txt and falls into a robot trap that is otherwise disallowed to polite bots. I'm blocking. June 07 2009 09:17 PM |
