I'm maintaining a Drupal Module that has provisions for adding a QuickLink to a Drupal website. There is a form field where the admin can enter their QuickLink to be inserted into their website HTML. Can anyone tell me a good and reliable regex expression to use to validate the QuickLink? Or, can someone (an admin preferably) tell me a standard format that all the QuickLinks conform to? Maybe a list of formats in link form would even help...
I'm currently using this as a regex, but a user has submitted a bug report stating that their QuickLink isn't able to conform:
#^http://[a-z0-9]+(\.[a-z0-9-]+)*(/.*)?/[a-z0-9]+([a-z0-9-]+)*\.php\?tag=(\d){2,}$#i
Can any coders out there help?
