Initially, got into a dueling match with the hijacker, who because he had access to my account and I was relying on memory, he ultimately won, and now I have no access to the account. Gmail is pretty much useless in trying to regain control. Their suggestion? "Set up a new Gmail account." You must be joking.
I set up a honeypot on inbox.com and sent an innocuous email to my hijacked email address, and within five minutes, I started receiving spam and am now receiving hundreds of spam emails a day.
Would it be useful for me to forward the spam here or for a Honeypot administrator to take control of the email address and monitor it?
I'm a total newbie at this.
