It's looking for and trying to spam guestbooks and forums. I have the entire 194.8 range banned through htaccess. Here's what I got in my error log just today from one of my sites. Note the referrer!

I don't really understand what "comment spammer" means, but I get hits from this address with long lists of other web addresses attached, like a chain of sites that this address has visited. If no comments are showing up on my site, is this affecting me in any way? Is my site transmitting this spammer to other sites? I'm pretty uninformed about this and don't want my site used to get to other people's sites.
