I'm already using cloudflare protection, that is based on Project Honeypot list of spammers... but they're not blocked.
What I mean is that many spammers don't harvest pages to find links, but target directly Joomla registration pages or something like "www.sitename.com/register".
All fake registrations I have on my site come from IPs not listed in Project Honeypot database (at least until I redirected my registration page to the honeypot, now are all falling in the trap).
Integrate an honeypot in the registration page of a CMS would not block the first time attacker, but would catch many more malicious IPs that will be blocked in a second attempt on other sites.
