Donating MX Entries

Another MX donation problem. Using Freeparking

Hi

I'm using freeparking.co.uk.

The goal is to get submail.mydomain.dom = mx#.yourdomain.dom
(please excuse the vagueness I'm worried about google picking up the post)

I have tried:
Approach 1:
Setting up a subdomain (submail) to point to my servers IP.
Then setting up an MX IP record (or fully qualified domain name) for the 'submail' subdomain to point to mx#.yourdomain.dom

However whenever I do this the 'submail' subdomain is reset back to NA for the MX record...

Ok so freeparking doesn't like this.

Approach 2:
Setting up a subdomain (submail) to point to mx#.yourdomain.dom. Setting up an MX record for the subdomain 'submail'.

By my reckoning this should work. Indeed nslookup (or dig) seems to return the correct results:
C:\>nslookup

Non-authoritative answer:

But I get emailed the message:

SUBMAIL.MYDOMAIN.DOM
In order for this donation to be effective, you must point all the name
servers controlling SUBMAIL.MYDOMAIN.DOM to our mail servers at
MX#.YOURDOMAIN.DOM. The specific problem we have identified with your DNS
modifications for this donation is that no MX record could be found
for your donated MX Entry when we performed an MX query check. It could be that
we simply experienced a DNS error when we tested. However, you should check
to ensure that the MX (MYDOMAIN.DOM) exists and can be dug: dig SUBMAIL.MYDOMAIN.DOM MX
Windows users can perform a nslookup: nslookup<enter> set querytype=MX<enter> SUBMAIL.MYDOMAIN.DOM<enter>

So can anyone help me figure out why this doesn't work? I would like to support this project.
