How long until things get jumping?

So in a fit of I'm-mad-as-hell-and-not-gonna-take-it-anymore, I set up three honeypots on some domains I own (and, once I get some other things sorted out, will aim for more).

With the project as a whole catching over 800k spams a day, I'm wondering: In your experience, how long until these honeypots start catching spammers?

I've got all the time in the world on this, just curious.

Keep rocking,

BL

Since I run a little blog with a self-hosted installation of Wordpress, most comment spam consist of a bot checking the existence of an article's URL with HEAD or GET and then follows a POST (or several) request directly to wp-post-comments.php, so it won't even follow any links at all. So I suppose, if you run your page with Wordpress or another such CMS with a well-known file structure, it may take a while.
