 Linking Instructions Before Signing Up
Author: E.Kessler   (15 Jan 10 5:10am)
I did some searching and I was unable to find the linking instructions before I create a honey pot. I'm sure its not overly complicated, but I'd like to have the information available while I'm developing my site. Would anyone be able to provide me with a link? Thanks!

There are really two parts of the process. The sign-up process walks you through both.

Part 1. Installing you honey pot. When you complete the begining of the process under "manage Honey Pots" you will have installed the honey pot executable script in the normal place and made it executable.

then

Part 2. Linking to your honey pot. you will be given a bunch of suggested links to include in your html. These look just like the QuickLinks which are links to a honey pot someone else has installed in their domain.

If you haven't done so I would suggest getting a QuickLink to include in you code. That will also give you examples of what links to your honey pot will look like.

I read every page also looking for the same info. Gave up and just jumped in.

Thanks I took your suggestion and created a quick link.
Here are the suggested links for anyone else that might have this question:

<a href="link"><!-- text --></a>
<a href="link"><img src="text.gif" height="1" width="1" border="0"></a>
<a href="link" style="display: none;">text</a>
<div style="display: none;"><a href="link">text</a></div>
<a href="link"></a>
<!-- <a href="link">text</a> -->
<div style="position: absolute; top: -250px; left: -250px;"><a href="link">text</a></div>
<a href="link"><span style="display: none;">text</span></a>
<a href="link"><div style="height: 0px; width: 0px;"></div></a>

Those are some of the suggestions we automatically provide. If you'd prefer to use some other technique in order to hide your honey pot links, you're welcome to do so.
